A Start of Something Wonderful

When I decided to start this blog, I had a lot of reasons why I wanted to do this. We live in world of where most communication folks do is through Facebook messenger, texting or other means online. It has made people socially awkward and people have a hard time talking in person to others, especially about God. Looking at the world we live in, people are drawing themselves further and further away from God, so that is why evangelism is important.  People have their own agenda and it does not include God. I have witnessed many people turn their backs on God due to worldly pleasures, which is so sad to see. So I got to thinking, maybe just maybe I can reach people this way. Mark 16:15 says to “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature”.   It’s so hard to put yourself out there and talk to people about God.  We tend to think, “I don’t know enough about the Bible to talk to people”, or “I just feel like it’s no use”.   Sometimes all people need is a simple invitation to services.  I have always had a self-esteem issue. Growing up I never felt confident on most anything I did.  I grew up so shy and would never have dreamt of talking to anyone about God’s Word.  I was the wife who always wanted to walk behind my husband because no one could see me behind his tall stature, (I am kind of short). I have lacked self-confidence for a long time. I remember the first time I was taught a ladies class. I thought to myself, these women are so much smarter than me, and what I could actually teach them that they probably don’t already know. I realized that that is not what it was about at all. It was studying and learning together, we taught each other by using God’s Word.   I really surprised myself and then it was the start of something wonderful. I grew in God’s word, I grew as a Christian and for the first time I believed in myself and my ability to teach and learn more than I could ever imagine. I continue to grow every day.  I love studying the Bible. I want to know and be sure that what I am teaching is biblically correct, not what man says, but what the Bible says. It’s our authority, it’s our guide to life.  Over the years, I have learned so much and still continue to learn. You can never stop learning. I am so blessed to teach and through my example I pray that it bring people closer to God. Please pray for this to be successful because if this blog helps just one person to become a Christian or help them to become a stronger Christian, then it will be worth it all.
